Adults Over Age 25 Can Now Experience the 2018 Forge Summit!
Have you ever wanted to experience the essentials of the Forge Leadership Summit firsthand? Would you like a taste of what the students experience, hearing from some of our best speakers, taking part in the legislative experience in the Ohio Statehouse, and more?
… Well, now you can!
Join us on the Friday of the 2018 Forge Leadership Summit for “Forge For A Day,” designed specifically for you as a supporter of Forge! We know how much Forge supporters have enjoyed the Forge Showcase Reception, and we really wanted to increase your ability to participate directly in Forge programming earlier in that day if your schedule allows!
Forge For A Day – July 27, 2018
Here’s what’s in store for you on Friday July 27th in downtown Columbus, OH:
We will meet at 9:15am at the Rotunda in the center of the Ohio Statehouse.
– Spend the day with Forge co-founders Adam Josefczyk and Justin Powell as they help you participate in the Forge experience firsthand.
– Hear from Forge keynote speaker Joseph Backholm on what thoughtful effective cultural engagement looks like!
– Experience how the Forge Legislature Committee process works, seeing how the students present and testify on their bills, lobby each other to pass their bills out of their committees, and then, try the process yourself!
– Participate with students on their final floor session of “The Forge Legislature,” their legislative simulation on the statehouse floor.
See the difference you’ve made in young leaders’ lives as you watch the Class of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 Forge Academy students graduate on the House Floor.
Then, that evening – join us for a special dinner and the annual Forge Showcase Reception at The Vue Columbus.
5:30PM – Dinner near The Vue (Location TBD)
The Forge Showcase Reception begins at The Vue at 7:00 PM
