“We have much to be thankful for” – D-Day Reflection from Forge VP Jeremiah Martin

Jeremiah Martin, an Army Veteran and Forge’s Vice President of Programs, reflects on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day:

“On this 75th Anniversary of D-Day, we have much to be thankful for. In many ways, the brave men that stormed the beaches of Normandy paved the way for the freedom and prosperity we enjoy today. June 6, 1944 was a turning point in World War II, and changed the course of not only the War, but of the entire 20th century. Today, we honor the sacrifices of those men that laid down their lives for the cause of freedom, liberating a continent, and ultimately changing the world.”

May we honor their legacy with the way we live and serve and not take freedom for granted.

Sincerely,
