WATCH: Adam Accepts 2017 Buckley Award!

Dear Friend of Forge,

A few weeks ago, I shared with you the great news that Forge’s own Adam Josefczyk had been named one of five winners of the 2017 William F. Buckley Award.

This award, sponsored by several national conservative organizations, was presented by America’s Future Foundation to five “young professionals for their above-and-beyond service to the liberty movement.”

Adam and Jessica were in attendance to receive the award last Tuesday night at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C., along with Forge board members John Hart and Heather Pfitzenmaier, and a number of Forge alumni and friends working in the nation’s capital.

Heather, who presented the award as Vice President of America’s Future Foundation (and past Buckley Award winner herself), asked me to surprise Adam with a quote to introduce him. Here’s what I shared:

“Adam is humble, courageous, and kind. That mixture of traits in one person is so incredibly rare and has been the driving force behind the creation of the Forge Leadership Network. With little more than tenacity and a conviction to make a difference, Adam’s love for people and his God-given skills have changed hundreds of students’ lives through Forge, and through those students, the lives of millions. As a fellow Christian, co-laborer in the conservative political field, and as a friend, I am honored to know and work with Adam and am excited for what Forge has been, what Forge is, and what it will become as it shapes young hearts and minds, and through them, shapes the country.“

Adam was asked to give an acceptance speech. We recorded it for you. Watch here:

Thank you for your continued interest in the work of Forge. Please continue to spread the word to young conservatives in your networks who would benefit from the mentoring, training, and career connections that Forge provides.

As Adam said in his speech (above), may God continue to grow Forge to serve and bless more and more young servant-leaders, and may He always get the glory.

Sincerely,

Justin Powell
Board Chairman

Adam is passionate about investing his future in the future of students who will become the next innovators in the marketplace, champions of free enterprise, inspiring educators, shapers of culture, and statesmen and stateswomen in government.
