Students Embark on Nation’s Capital

I’m in Washington, D.C. awaiting the arrival of 30 Forge Fellows – our finest college and post-grad students – for “Forge DC: The Nation’s Capital” which will become the cornerstone of the Forge program. If the Forge Leadership Summit in Columbus is our foundational training event, Forge D.C. is the next step.

Forge D.C. is part of the exclusive Forge Fellowship, in which our best and brightest Summit attendees are paired with year-long mentors, connected to incredible networks and friends who share their convictions, aided in securing top internships and jobs, and enabled to experience DC and later Israel in order to encounter national and international affairs and domestic and foreign policy firsthand.

At Forge D.C., our Fellows will be immersed in national policy and politics, learning from and networking with incredible speakers, congressmen, staffers, advocacy groups, cultural leaders, attorneys who have argued before the Supreme Court, and more. We like to describe our vision for Forge D.C. as an exclusive opportunity for our young leaders to learn the “WHY” and the “HOW” of national politics and the conservative movement in a way that goes beyond the mere “WHAT” that we all read in the papers and see on the news.

The Forge team has been preparing for months to rollout this next iteration of the Forge program, and we couldn’t be more excited for our students to now experience it. We’re thrilled that our Fellows will have unparalleled access to:

  • private meetings with the most influential conservative congressmen
  • all star lineups at The Heritage Foundation, Alliance Defending Freedom, and the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission
  • top staffers who believe in the importance of Forge
  • behind-the-scenes hard hat tour of the forthcoming Museum of The Bible … and more!

Our students will be here Wednesday evening through Saturday morning. You can join them by following us on social media throughout the week!

We invite you to follow with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @ForgeLeadership. We believe you will really enjoy the content we will be sharing with you each day on all three of these platforms:

  • Exclusive LIVE videos from me, Board Chairman Justin Powell, and volunteers
  • Real-Time Testimonials from our students during their experiences.
  • Pictures, quotes, videos, daily summaries, and more.

The Forge Fellows program is focused on the crucial long-term personal and professional development of our students. The experience is dynamic. Follow along with Forge D.C. to see why!

Stay Tuned!
