May Update – New Website, New Students, New Developments!

Newsletter: Gearing Up For A Big Summer At Forge!

Dear Friend of Forge,

I hope you enjoyed the update earlier in the week – the big news that Forge was featured on The Blaze!

I wanted to give you three exciting updates as summer will be fast upon us!

1. STUDENT RECRUITMENT:

We’re in the heart of student recruitment season here, and we want your help in identifying the promising young conservatives in your region. If you know of a 16-24 year old who would gain a great deal from the Forge Summit, please recommend him/her to me or encourage him/her to apply.

RECOMMEND: Just e-mail me with your recommendation, and I will personally follow up with that student.

APPLY: forgeleadership.org/apply

The Summit starts July 4th this year, so time is of the essence for them to apply.

2. WEBSITE MAKEOVER:

As you can see by the screenshot picture above, the Forge website has undergone an awesome re-design. Huge thanks to Chris Denlinger and Justin Powell for the incredible work and vision. Check it out!

We believe this new design helps give visitors and prospective students and supporters a better conception of the entirety of what the Forge program has to offer. You will see that we now highlight all three events in the Forge Year – The Forge Summit and the two events open to students who make our mentoring program: Forge D.C. and Forge Israel with Passages. You can watch a short video of me highlighting features of the new website here.

3. TWO FORGE GRADS SELECTED FOR ELITE OPPORTUNITY:

Forge is thrilled to have two of our Forge Fellows accepted into the highly-sought-after Philos Leadership Institute. We love the work of the Philos Project, one of the parent organizations of our friends at Passages.

Congratulations to Ian M. Swanson and Peter Burns and the twenty young leaders who will study for a month in New York, Israel, Jordan, and Poland!

“The Leadership Institute is a fully-funded 4-week summer program designed for twenty Christian men and women between the ages of 18-35 who have a serious interest in working in a field that touches on the Middle East.” Philos looks for “future policymakers, humanitarians, journalists, and advocates who seek a deeper understanding of religious and political dynamics in the Middle East region […] to educate and empower a new generation of leaders to facilitate long-term change in the Middle East.”

Listen To This: There were over 400 applicants ages 18-35 from several countries. Forge grads Ian and Peter landed two of the twenty spots.

One of the folks close to the selection process told me, (paraphrasing), “There were four hundred applicants from all over the world, many whom have never been turned down for any application before. Think about it. Almost 10% of this year’s class is Forge Fellows from this small start up nonprofit based in Ohio. That’s amazing. What God is doing in their lives and through Forge should encourage you and all of your donors!”

I’m encouraged! And I hope you are, too. Forge is changing lives and influencing our nation and even our world.

Please consider joining the Forge Donor Team today (at any amount!) to continue to make it all possible.

God Bless,
